STRS Ohio is seeking an Associate, Real Estate (Asset Management) Columbus and Georgia to join the Investment / Real Estate team. Nearly two-thirds of STRS Ohio's investment assets are managed internally by more than 100 Investment Department professionals.

Competitive Pay
8 : 00am-5 : 00pm Monday through Friday (Onsite)
Under the direction of a regional director and portfolio leader, manage a portfolio of real estate properties and joint ventures including evaluating new investment opportunities. Support investment activities and ensure all State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS Ohio) properties comply with standards.
Manage a portfolio of real estate assets, including equity properties and joint ventures, to achieve the fund's long-term goals.
Identify and select property management and leasing teams with input from the regional real estate director.
Assess and recommend investment and management decisions, such as lease and mortgage negotiations, acquisitions / dispositions and capital improvements.
Set operating goals for properties, monitor performance via budgets, statements, lease reviews and site inspections.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance or related field required.
Two to five years' relevant experience in managing larger and / or more complex institutional properties / portfolios.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Argus Enterprise real estate analysis software preferred.
Ability to analyze joint venture agreements, operating statements, balance sheets, budgets, and closing documents to understand real estate investment structures and terms required.
Comprehensive knowledge of commercial leases required.
Excellent analytical skills required.
