Overview

POS is seeking Graphic Designer candidates to join our Pre-Press team located in Waterloo, IA.

Responsibilities

• Design and edit layouts for customers to produce commercial quality print orders in a variety of formats.
• Preflight, manipulate, edit and adjust customer provided electronic files to prepare for both offset and digital printing.
• Work and communicate directly with sales / customers to design mainly medical forms and documents, but also brochures, booklets, advertising pieces, and other print items that can be manufactured by POS.
• Understand and implement style guides to assist customers with their brand identity and consistency of printed pieces. Read and understand shop order tickets, customer order forms and other supplied paperwork to determine correct product details and specifications.
• Prepare and organize final files for output and storage on POS server.
• Stay abreast of new design trends within the industry.
• Proofread printed materials for matching customer specifications.
• Position may also require assistance with production of printed projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Hours, Pay and Benefits

General hours for this position will be 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm, Monday - Friday. Starting hourly base pay of $18.50 to $21.50 commensurate with experience and opportunity to receive two increases during your first year.
