Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our clinical team. The LVN will provide direct patient care during the detoxification process under the supervision of Director of Nursing, ensuring the highest standards of safety, comfort, and support for clients undergoing withdrawal from alcohol and / or drugs.

Responsibilities

Conduct medical intakes and assessments during client admissions
Monitor vital signs and withdrawal symptoms in accordance with facility protocols
Administer medications as prescribed, including MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment)
Observe, document, and report changes in client condition
Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and behavioral health staff on client care
Respond to medical emergencies and follow established procedures
Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing and medication records
Educate clients on medications, detox process, and health-related topics
Support a therapeutic environment while upholding safety and confidentiality standards

Requirements

Current LVN license in the state of California (in good standing)

CPR / First Aid certification, required

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, required

Previous experience in a detox, substance use, or behavioral health setting preferred

Understanding of withdrawal symptoms and detox protocols

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with individuals in crisis

Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills

Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
