Required Skills & Experience
Bachelors degree
2+ years of purchasing / inventory planning experience (some of this experience needs to be with a large company)
Experience fully managing and running their own category of products
SQL experience ability to run and adjust queries
Strong Excel knowledge has to have pivot tables, vlookups, xlookups and percent changes (will have to take an Excel test)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Job Description
This person will be responsible for maintaining the appropriate customer service levels (fill rates), efficiently using the Companys inventory assets (turns), and communicating with the companys various branches and / or vendors for which responsibility is assigned. The day-to-day responsibilities include the following :
Creating purchase orders to facilitate the timely replenishment of the Distribution Centers
Communicating with both assigned vendors and / or company branches to ensure smooth flow of information and goods
Maintaining agreed upon service levels (fill rates) to our customers
Meeting or exceeding inventory turn goals.
Monitoring vendor performance (fill rate and on-time delivery) and taking corrective action where necessary.
Coordinating returns to the vendors for damaged and discontinued merchandise.
Monitoring inventory at all assigned locations and recommends transfers as appropriate to eliminate overstock.
Reviewing missed demand and adjusting inventory to capture future sales
