About The Position

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist

Profession : Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Specialty : RRT

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Trauma, ER, and Adult ICU

License : Required state license in hand

Certifications : BLS, RRT, CRT; ACLS preferred

Must-Have :

• Trauma, ER, and Adult ICU experience required
• Experience with Puritan Bennett, Draeger, Servo I, Evita XL, Viasys preferred
• Acceptance of first-time traveler for screening

Description :

The Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care and services.

Responsibilities include ventilator management, high flow therapy, BiPAP, aerosol treatments, and chest physical therapy.

Necessary skills include the interpretation of arterial blood gases, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation.

The therapist will also perform extubation, tracheostomy care and management, and sputum specimen collection.

Candidates should demonstrate proficiency with various respiratory medications and therapies.

Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required.

Travelers will be considered, and references from supervisors are required.

All staff must receive the flu vaccine.
