Overview

Location : EAC (Education and Administration Center)

A member of the Human Resources Department, the Assistant Director of Human Resources, will primarily oversee investigations regarding both Title IX and Discrimination reports involving staff. This individual will be the initial point of contact for personnel issues. The Assistant Director provides guidance regarding applicable state and federal laws, administrative policies, procedures, and practices. Responsibilities

  • Reports consistently for work as scheduled
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Attains proficient or higher evaluations on established Performance Standards
  • Administers human resources policies, procedures, and practices as well as monitoring consistent, district-wide application
  • Coordinates with Human Resources leadership, District Compliance Coordinator, Legal Team and school site administrators to ensure consistency, open communication and thoroughness of investigation processes
  • Creates, guides, or assists in the development of state and federal reports
  • Develops and provides investigation training to Lead Team administrators, managers and supervisors
  • Develops, reviews, recommends, and evaluates human resources policies, procedures, and practices
  • Directs and supervises Human Resources staff
  • Ensures accurate and timely submission of local, state, and federal reports
  • Ensures compliance with and equitable and fair administration of all applicable laws, policies, procedures, and practices
  • Ensures effectiveness through ongoing integration of technology in Human Resources processes
  • Fosters a respectful, responsive, and service-oriented work environment
  • Leads the establishment and maintenance of a positive, respectful and caring working and learning environment
  • Promotes staff member physical, social, and emotional wellness
  • Provides guidance to administrators and supervisors regarding personnel concerns
  • Provides monitoring, guidance, and training to administrators and supervisors for personnel-related laws, regulations, and policies
  • Provides problem solving assistance in support of administrators and supervisors
  • Provides substantial support for investigations regarding Title IX, Discrimination, or other policy violations
  • Provides support to various District departments as assigned or needed to include CORA requests
  • Supports and directs investigations
  • Supports the District strategic plan by continually investing in and valuing our staff to help them grow
  • Supports Human Resources department leadership as needed
  • Supports the development, understanding of, and respect for varied cultures and heritages

    Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's (Baccalaureate) degree (e.g., B.A., A.B., B.S.)
  • 3+ Years professional experience working in Education, Human Resources, or Compliance
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's (Baccalaureate) degree (e.g., B.A., A.B., B.S.) in Education, Human Resources, or Compliance related field
  • Master's degree (e.g., M.A., M.S., M.Eng, M.Ed, M.S.W., M.B.A., M.L.S.) in Education, Human Resources, or Compliance related field
  • Experience working in or with Title IX and discrimination investigations
  • School Administrator experience
  • Principal License : Initial - Colorado Department of Education or Administrator License : Initial : Superintendent - Colorado Department of Education
  • Paralegal certification

    Compensation Range : $100,860-$110,860
