  • Location : Morgantown, WV 26506 (West Virginia nursing jobs)\n
  • Healthcare Setting : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)\n
  • Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract\n
  • Start Date : September 26, 2025\n
  • End Date : December 26, 2025\n
  • Hours per Week : 36 hours guaranteed\n
  • Shift : 12-hour rotating day / night shifts (includes 2 full weekends per month and holiday rotation)\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $2070-$2220\n
  • Dress Code : Royal Blue scrubs with kid-friendly tops\n
  • Charting System : EPIC EMR\n

    • \n\nPICU Registered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active RN license (open to candidates seeking West Virginia RN licensure)\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent PICU nursing experience required\n
  • BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)\n
  • COVID-19 vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions considered)\n
  • Ability to float to L&D, NICU, and Acute Pediatrics units as needed\n
  • Must provide an unexpired driver’s license (residence must be outside 50 miles from facility)\n

    • \n\nPICU RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver high-quality, family-centered nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in a 20-bed PICU\n
  • Manage patient ratios of 1 : 1-2 in ICU and 1 : 3 in stepdown settings\n
  • Administer and titrate sedation and vasoactive drips according to protocol and physician orders\n
  • Provide care for patients with congenital heart disease, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), respiratory distress, neurosurgical needs, tracheostomies, ventilators, and G-tubes\n
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including pediatricians, residents, advanced practice providers (APPs), and respiratory therapists\n
  • Participate in unit orientation, EPIC electronic medical record training, and ongoing competency assessments\n
  • Support a positive, child-friendly environment and assist with admissions, equipment setup, and patient preparation\n
