HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Overland Park, Kansas.

Location : Overland Park, KS

Unit Specifics :

  • Number of Beds :   12 LDRP, 2 C-section Suites, 3 Triage beds
  • Patient Ratios : 1 : 1 during active labor / induction or cesarean section; 3 : 1 postpartum, 2 : 1 antepartum unless unstable
  • Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) :   OB Surgical Tech staff that also function as unit secretary
  • Type of equipment :  GE Fetal Monitors and Novii II
  • Documentation system :   CPN – Centricity Perinatal / Meditech
  • Scheduling requirements :   0545-1815 / 1745-0615
  • On Call Requirements :   None
  • Floating policy :   None
  • Patient Experience requirements :   Committed to understanding and learning about each individual families birth goals

    • Must have :

  • Minimum 2 years labor experience, prefer some postpartum experience
  • ACLS, BLS, NRP and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or C-EFM

    • Procedures performed on unit :   Vaginal Deliveries, Cesarean Sections, D & C, Jada placement

    Unit Guidelines / Policies :

  • CSIP Oxytocin Management

    • Awards / Recognition :

  • Unit remodel completed in 2024, level II NICU,  Labor & Delivery Services | Menorah Medical Center
  • 24 hour in-house anesthesia and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.  Patient Experience Rating top 10% in HCA for 8 quarters, Employee Engagement 81%, physician engagement 85%;
