Job Overview :

The Field and Data Civil Engineer-In-Training Level I plays a critical role in ensuring the success of engineering projects through fieldwork, data management, and adherence to safety and operational standards. This position requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a passion for contributing to sustainable engineering solutions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform fieldwork, including data collection and analysis, utilizing GIS, mobile devices, and custom data collection platforms.
• Maintain and update project data through database creation and online dashboards.
• Ensure projects comply with legal requirements, construction specifications, and health, safety, and welfare standards.
• Monitor project progress, inspect sites, and verify calculations and placements.
• Calculate labor, material, and related costs to establish and manage budgets.
• Track expenses and analyze costs to maintain financial efficiency and optimize performance.
• Assist in designing and managing construction projects by reviewing concepts, drawings, and geotechnical data.
• Prepare engineering documents, including specifications, plans, schedules, and feasibility studies.
• Resolve design and development challenges effectively.
• Train and guide team members to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure project success and team cohesion.
• Utilize MS Office, AutoCAD (Civil 3D), ESRI GIS, and other software tools for data analysis and reporting.
• Ensure precise and accurate project documentation.
• Operate a company vehicle to access project sites safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to all safety standards and company policies.
• Contribute to the team by accomplishing tasks as required to support project and organizational goals.

Educational and Certification Requirements

Salary & Benefits :

Base Salary : $55,000 – $86,000, plus additional incentive pay eligibility. Comprehensive benefit package provided.

Work Environment :

This position currently requires in-person attendance for meetings and events. Hybrid work arrangements may be eligible in the future with supervisor approval.
