Job Description & Requirements Specialty : PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 17 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Local Contract Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse Overview : We’re seeking an experienced and compassionate Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN to provide high-quality care to patients requiring step-down monitoring from the ICU or specialized care from medical / surgical units. The ideal candidate excels in patient assessment, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Key Responsibilities : Monitor, assess, and manage patients with moderate acuity levels. Administer medications and perform ordered treatments. Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition promptly. Collaborate with physicians, ICU staff, and other care team members to ensure safe and effective care. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and clinical changes. Requirements : Current RN license in good standing. BLS and ACLS required. Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the same specialty (PCU / step-down). Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills. Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K offered.
