Manage technical support by attending and participating in customer’s meetings regarding printing efficiency and ink quality concerns. On call 24 hours for addressing service issues.

May service multiple sites of a customer.

Properly train customers and supervise other personnel of the company regarding ink management and “on press” performance.

Manage the ink blending process within the Flint TPS Ink Management process :

• Coordinate scheduling of ink deliveries and ink inventories for the customer.
• Identify, set and review quality standards for customers. Effectively coordinate efforts with key customer personnel, particularly during qualifications.
• Color matching, including maintenance of customer formulation files.
• Develop and maintain a plan to work off press returns and obsolete materials and perform appropriate record keeping functions.
• Not responsible for arranging for the disposal of any hazardous wastes for the customer, as such disposal is the sole responsibility of the customer.
• Establish and monitor appropriate housekeeping & safety procedures within customer locations.

Coordinates scheduling and work assignments for any other GT personnel. Recommends promotion, demotion, and other forms of discipline of employees.

Participates with the company’s technical and information systems groups under the direction of the supervisor, to provide support for the customer’s volatile organic compound compliance programs. Responsibilities may include maintaining compliance schedules, monitoring systems and generating necessary reports for same.

May be called upon to perform duties assigned to Graphic Technician.

Perform other related responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

DECISION-MAKING RESPONSIBILITY :

Quality of product delivered to customer : conformance vs. specification.

Selection of raw materials and suitability of finished match in new color matches.

Suitability of press return inks for recycle.

Primary management of relationship with customer.

Process improvement suggestions to customer, in conjunction with other company experts.
