About the Role
The Site Director will lead the WPAS Los Angeles office, providing strong operational leadership, driving performance, and ensuring successful cultural and systems integration during a period of significant change. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a seasoned executive who is bilingual (Spanish / English), highly skilled in people leadership, and experienced in union workforce management and M&A integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Culture
- Serve as the senior leader onsite, setting the tone for culture, morale, and professional conduct.
- Champion change management initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and build a high-performance environment.
- Act as a visible, approachable leader to a predominantly union workforce.
Operational Management
Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring performance targets and quality standards are consistently met.Implement and track performance management programs to improve productivity and accountability.Partner with functional leaders to align local operations with enterprise strategy and standards.Union & Workforce Relations
Provide experienced leadership in a unionized environment, including adherence to CBAs, employee relations, and dispute resolution.Guide supervisors and managers in consistent, fair application of policies within the collective bargaining framework.M&A Integration
Lead the local integration of systems, processes, and cultural alignment following mergers and acquisitions.Collaborate with corporate leadership to ensure smooth adoption of enterprise platforms and policies.People Development
Mentor and upskill managers and staff, building leadership bench strength within the site.Drive coaching, training, and workforce development initiatives tailored to operational needs.Stakeholder & Crisis Management
Manage escalations and act as the primary point of resolution for operational or employee concerns.Use strong prioritization and time management to address competing demands and drive results.Partner with union and non-union staff, external stakeholders, and corporate executives as needed.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Industrial Relations, or related field or equivalent combination of education and progressive leadership experience in unionized operations.Bilingual in Spanish and English.Proven senior leadership experience (Director level or above), ideally within a complex operational environment.Demonstrated success leading unionized workforces, with experience managing within collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).Strong background in M&A integrations, including systems, process, and cultural transitions.Track record of performance management, accountability frameworks, and workforce development.Exceptional skills in conflict resolution, de-escalation, and change management.Ability to work 100% onsite in Los Angeles with a visible leadership presence.Preferred Qualifications
Operations leadership experience in multi-employer benefit administration, professional services, healthcare administration, finance, or similar industries.Demonstrated success in employee engagement, culture transformation, and morale building.Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.Certification or demonstrated experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar).Job Type : Full-time
