Responsibilities :
- Assisting in the Company's SOX plan initiatives in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act
- Reviewing, testing, analyzing, evaluating, and concluding concerning the design and effectiveness of the company's internal controls over financial reporting
- Ensuring all business risks are anticipated, identified, recognized, and appropriately managed
- Assisting in the reporting of findings, deficiencies, and remediation plans identified through process monitoring, internal reviews, or external examinations
- Supporting SOX system administration and the confirmations process
- Conducting audits or reviews as assigned within Internal Audit
- Interacting with mid- to senior-level management to discuss audit findings and recommendations intended to improve business practices
Key Accountabilities :
Plan, implement, coordinate, and consult with business process owners responsible for the execution of controls to support Management's SOX 404 compliance certificationDraw upon SOX knowledge to help identify business risks, key controls, and ensure appropriate testing for both business processes and IT general controlsManage updates to SOX compliance documentation including process narratives, key controls, testing, and reporting to management and external auditorsReport findings, deficiencies, and remediations plans identified through testing or external examinationsMonitor remediation efforts and validate corrective actions for identified deficienciesUtilize IT automation and analytics tools for SOX testingSupport annual confirmations processesServe as a subject matter expert in Sarbanes-Oxley for both business processes and ITSupport management with controls implementation and help all departments, as needed, to ensure SOX complianceContinue to drive a culture of continuous improvement and review of our processes and key business initiativesSupport audit planning and risk assessment phases for assigned auditsSupport the effective execution and documentation of testing associated with the field work phase of the auditEvaluate control issues to drive the identification of root causes and solutionsPrepare audit findings, risk assessments, and audit reportsPerform follow up testing of audit findingsKey Competencies for Position Execution :
