Job Description

• The Sr. Automation Engineer develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, parts, fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards for automated manufacturing and assembly equipment for the automotive industry.
• They will also assist in the field startup / qualification / validation of automation and robotics equipment and provide troubleshooting support for existing system.

Qualifications

MUST HAVE :

3+ years of experience as an Automation or Controls Engineer in an OEM or manufacturing environment

3+ years of experience of PLC programming (Allen Bradley or Siemens preferred)

Experience with HMI programming

Experience with robotics programming

Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies

Team lead or supervisory experience

Equipment commissioning experience

BS in Engineering

NICE TO HAVE :

Experience with hydraulic or pneumatic systems

Experience in a manufacturing assembly environment
