For over 60 years, the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) team has supported the Navy's mission to provide affordable and credible strategic defense. Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will support, mentor, and motivate a manufacturing team of supervisors and ordnance mechanics to meet operational safety, quality, and productivity goals.
  • You will utilize root-cause analysis and continuous improvement tools to develop solutions and implement systems to meet specific compliance standards in a complex, zero-defect, security-focused manufacturing environment.
  • The successful candidate will be a self-managing, action-oriented individual focused on developing and supporting a high-performing team while delivering business results.

Please note that this position does NOT support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Silverdale, WA, and will be expected to work in the office.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Previous professional experience with scheduling, production, and / or processing requirements related to ordnance operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Experience within Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and / or Continuous Improvement (CI) events.
  • U.S. Citizenship (no dual citizens) and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Top Secret clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

    • Please note :

  • No clearance is required to apply but an Interim Secret clearance is needed prior to starting.
  • Qualify for, and maintain participation in, the Navy's Personnel Reliability Program (PRP).
  • Qualify for and maintain participation in the Nuclear Weapons Radiological Controls Program (NWRCO).

    • Desired Skills :

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience / combined education.
  • Leadership skills and behaviors that align with Full Spectrum Leadership (FSL) imperatives.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing metrics to make data-based decisions.
  • Experience supervising hourly employees within a unionized workplace.
  • Experience working in the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program at any field site or other support site.
  • Green Belt certification.

    • Security Clearance Statement : This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Clearance Level : Top Secret

  • Ability to Work Remotely : Onsite Full-time. The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
  • Work Schedules : Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week to condensed schedules with more time away from the office. These condensed schedules are in addition to Paid Time Off benefits.
  • Schedule for this Position : 9x80 every other Friday off
  • Pay Rate : The annual base salary range for this position varies by location. The salary information is a general guideline only and depends on scope, experience, and market conditions.
