Responsibilities

Administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients as prescribed.

Monitor and assess patient responses to therapy and adjust as needed.

Educate patients and families on respiratory health and treatment plans.

Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in respiratory care.

Utilize performance metrics to track and improve personal success.

Engage in team meetings to discuss patient progress and care strategies.

Provide support in achieving departmental targets and goals.

Assist in the evaluation and selection of respiratory equipment.

Stay updated on advancements in respiratory therapy techniques and technologies.

Experience / Qualifications

Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in Illinois.

Experience in administering respiratory therapy treatments in a clinical setting.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.

Willingness to stay updated on advancements in respiratory therapy.

Strong communication skills for patient and family education.

Proficiency in maintaining accurate patient care documentation.

Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in respiratory care.

Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
