About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (07 : 00 - 19 : 30)

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience at a Level I Trauma Center required

License : Must possess a valid RN license

Certifications : BLS, PALS required; ACLS preferred

Must-Have :

  • Epic charting experience
  • Experience in mixed-acuity settings

Description :

This is a 36 or 48-hour option position.

Call requirements may include being on call for regularly scheduled shifts.

All staff may be required to serve as rover nurses on any inpatient unit.

Rover nurses perform tasks such as patient transport, bathing, ambulation, and medication administration.

This unit has a mixed acuity with patient ratios of 1 : 2 for PICU, 1 : 3 for PCU, and 1 : 4 for Acute.

Registered nurses are expected to work across the entire acuity spectrum.

Requests for days off must be included in the contract; otherwise, staff are responsible for trading shifts.

Scheduling periods are four weeks, running Monday through Sunday.

Requests for scheduling preferences will be considered but are not guaranteed.

The minimum weekend requirement is three weekend shifts and one designated weekday shift.

This is a 24-bed unit.

Candidates must be 100% nicotine-free.

Mandatory scrubs in steel gray with the facility logo are required.

Professionals can obtain a parking permit or use daily rate parking.

All contracts must end on a Sunday, and the work week runs Monday through Sunday.

Submissions without an active license will result in a delayed start date.

RTO requests must be included at the time of submission and are limited to two weeks.

No RTO is permitted during the first week of employment.

Travelers must attend a mandatory charting class on a specified day.

This position may involve floating to various care areas to perform rover duties.
