Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Post in Amana, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment at a leading manufacturing and industrial location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and guests. You will be expected to utilize your keen observation skills to identify and report any irregularities or concerns. This post requires a valid driver's license, as you may be responsible for patrolling both interior and exterior areas using a company vehicle. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and along the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any irregularities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any suspicious activity.
  • Communicate with site personnel, Allied Universal management, and / or emergency responders as needed to address incidents and share important information.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by site protocols.
  • Follow all site-specific procedures for manufacturing and industrial environments, adapting to changing working conditions as necessary.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent, such as a GED.
  • A valid driver's license is required and applicants must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
