100% FTE, Monday-Friday, day / night shift between the hours of 7 : 00am - 11 : 00pm with weeknight, weekend and holiday in-house and on-call expectations. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work at the American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN), Care Team Leader to :

• Be a front line nursing leader with excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mentor others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills.
• Communicate with the interprofessional team to establish goals and strategies.

At UW Health, you will have :

Education :

Minimum - Baccalaureate degree in nursing or ADN and achievement of BS in nursing within five years of hire.

Preferred - Baccalaureate degree in nursing

Work Experience :

Minimum - Two (2) years of experience in Surgical Services setting

Preferred - Three (3) years of experience in Surgical Services setting

Licenses and Certifications :

Minimum - Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations. Basic Life Support / CPR and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Preferred - National certification in relevant specialty
