Responsibilities Work in a hospital medical-surgical unit Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7 : 00PM to 7 : 30AM 36 hours per week May be floated to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed Charge nurse responsibilities may be assigned if required Every other weekend work required EPIC EMR is used for documentation and patient care management Provide high-quality nursing care including IV starts, medication administration, and patient education Complete mandatory Ohio fingerprinting process promptly after contract signing Must be willing to serve in a charge nurse capacity if needed All requests for time off must be submitted with the application Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers RTO (requested time off) must be built into the contract Requirements Active OH or compact RN license in hand Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program Current BLS and IV certification Proficiency in IV starts and general nursing skills Experience with EPIC EMR required Two professional references required, one from a supervisor or manager in a formal leadership role Former employees eligible if away from the facility for at least 6 months Current employees are not eligible for traveler roles at Ohio State University hospital locations Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-617378.
