Position : Project Accountant & Financial Analyst
Location : Phoenix, AZ / Hybrid
Reports to : Financial Controller
Position Summary :
NOW CFO is seeking a Project Accountant & Financial Analyst to join our client’s team. This hybrid role is a key contributor to the Group’s finance function, with responsibilities split by approximately 60% accounting and 40% financial analysis and operational support . The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, analytical skills, and a proactive mindset to support both financial reporting and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities :
Accounting (60%)
- Lead and support project accounting, including monthly revenue recognition and margin tracking at the project level.
- Reconcile physical inventory to general ledger balances and resolve variances.
- Participate in month / quarter / year-end close processes, including preparation of consolidated financial statements.
- Manage general ledger and maintain monthly balance sheet schedules.
- Support external audits and ensure timely responses to auditor requests.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Assist with cash management and contribute to ERP implementation (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central).
- Research and prepare technical accounting memos related to ASC 842, ASC 350, ASC 718, ASC 606, and other relevant standards.
- Assist in the design and implementation of internal controls and process improvements.
Financial Analysis & Operations Support (40%)
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Identify and support cost reduction opportunities and operational efficiencies.Collaborate cross-functionally with global teams across multiple time zones.Provide financial insights and reporting to support strategic initiatives.Support ERP optimization and reporting enhancements.Utilize tools such as Power BI and SQL for data analysis and visualization (preferred).Qualifications & Skills :
Required :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; or CPA certified or pursuing certification.5–6 years of experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting (Big 4) and industry experience.Strong understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.Experience leading or managing AP functions.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.Preferred :
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems.Familiarity with SQL and Microsoft Power BI.Fast and accurate data entry skills.#IND2
