Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or multi-state compact license

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate

Experience with Meditech or similar EMR documentation preferred

Ability to work weekends and some holidays

First-time travel nurses accepted

Locum tenens must reside more than 70 miles from Silver City, NM

Smoke / nicotine-free healthcare campus

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive patient care in Labor & Delivery, Mother / Baby, Couplet Care, and Level I Nursery settings

Assist with vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections

Conduct antepartum assessments and APGAR scoring

Provide nursing care to neonates, adolescents, and adults

Accurately document patient care using Meditech EMR

Float to other hospital units as needed, in rotation with staff

Respond to on-call requirements within 30 minutes if assigned

Maintain compliance with hospital and Joint Commission healthcare standards
