Intermodal Dispatcher

Location : Cleveland, OH

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely movement of freight within our transportation network. This office-based position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a solid understanding of supply chain management. Some experience in dispatching is preferred, but we are willing to provide training for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule shipments to ensure timely delivery of freight.

Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track shipments and manage data entry.

Maintain effective communication with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders via phone systems.

Monitor fleet management operations to optimize routes and reduce delays.

Handle dispatching duties while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.

Provide excellent phone etiquette when addressing inquiries or resolving issues.

Upload documentation for billing and other operational functions.

Qualifications

Some experience in dispatching preferred; training provided for motivated candidates.

Proficient in using TMS and data entry software.

Strong phone etiquette and communication skills for interacting with drivers and clients.

Knowledge of freight operations and regulations is a plus.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
