What this job involves Maintains, installs, and troubleshoots all aspects of electrical infrastructure. Operates, inspects, and maintains all electrical equipment and systems in assigned facilities to obtain the most efficient operating results and life expectancy. Assures that equipment is being maintained in an energy efficient, safe manner and downtime is reduced to a minimum by anticipation of necessary repairs and keeping records of past operating experiences. Individuals are expected to demonstrate technical expertise in the electrical field while also maintaining basic knowledge of all other trades to successfully complete daily / weekly work assignments.

What is your day to day?

• Demonstrate knowledge of electrical / instrumentation / control building equipment and systems required to operate and maintain electrical equipment and systems.
• Plan and layout work details in the assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical apparatus, control equipment and wiring used in industrial light and power distribution systems including equipment such as generating equipment, panels, automatic transfer switches, variable frequency drives, complex circuit breaking units, transformer units, substations, electric vehicle chargers, solar systems and alarms.
• Troubleshoot and correct faulty wiring or electrical difficulties in motors, and other equipment. Diagnoses, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, upgrade and install all electrical / instrumentation equipment and systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings.
• Interact with clients and maintenance staff to determine the best approach to completion of assignments in a safe, environmentally compliant manner.
