Vice President of Atlanta Operations

Location : Atlanta, GA (Relocation within Georgia considered)

Salary Range : USD $200,000 - $250,000

Employment Type : Permanent

Sector : Civil / Geotechnical Engineering

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Atlanta Operations to lead and expand our Georgia business unit, with a primary focus on the Atlanta metropolitan area. This senior leadership role oversees all aspects of operations across geotechnical engineering and construction services, emphasizing strategic growth, operational excellence, and client engagement.

You will manage a team of 6 direct reports and lead a group of approximately 100 professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in upper-level management within geotechnical or related engineering sectors and a proven ability to drive business success in the Southeastern U.S.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business growth and market presence across Georgia, with a focus on Atlanta.
  • Oversee operational performance, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Lead business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Mentor senior staff and foster leadership development.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and client satisfaction across all projects.
  • Oversee major infrastructure projects, including transportation, water resources, and urban development.

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering (MS preferred).
  • 15+ years of industry experience, preferably in Georgia or the Southeast.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and strategic leadership.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing large teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
