PCU Travel Nurse Job Details Location : Denver, Colorado 80218 Healthcare Setting : Transplant / Stepdown Unit (PCU) Assignment Start Date : December 15, 2025 Assignment End Date : March 16, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM) Weekly Hours : 36 Unit Size : 34 beds Patient Ratio : 1 : 3-4 EMR System : Meditech Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,470 - $1,570 per week Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Colorado or compact state Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg or Telemetry nursing experience Proficiency with Heparin infusions and PCA pump management BLS certification (AHA required) Strong adaptability and multi-tasking skills Ability to excel in a high-acuity, fast-paced healthcare environment Preferred : Stepdown / PCU nursing experience and solid organ transplant care (kidney, liver, pancreas) PCU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to PCU / Stepdown patients, including post-transplant patients Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions; administer medications and manage infusions Perform wound and drain care (wound vac, chest tube, JP drains) Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Accurately document care in Meditech electronic medical records Mentor and support patient care technicians and clinical support staff Maintain a safe, clean, and positive healthcare environment Take your next step in travel nursing with this exciting PCU RN job in Denver, Colorado!
