Upper School Mathematics Teacher

Overview

Kent Place School is seeking a mathematics teacher to inspire upper school girls to develop their interests in math and pursue futures in STEM fields. We seek individuals who enjoy collaboration with colleagues, demonstrate personal initiative to innovate in their teaching practice, and are committed to inspiring students within classroom practice and curricular development. The candidate should be interested in growing as a teacher and teacher-leader and have a keen interest in using math to investigate interdisciplinary questions in the natural and social sciences. The candidate would join a math department committed to inquiry-based learning and the use of assessment to develop girls\' love of learning, confidence, and mathematical proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Advise a group of students, facilitate upper school activities, and participate in community events.
• Collaborate on curriculum writing and teaching in an integrated math sequence at the high school level (experience preferred).
• Prioritization for applicants with teaching experience in higher levels of mathematics, specifically AP Calculus AB.

Qualifications

Compensation & How to Apply
