Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Proficient with computers and interpreting schematics and technical manuals. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Certificates from prior technical training, with emphasis on diesel engines, hydraulic / hydrostatic systems, fuel systems, and electrical components is preferred. Must possess standard tools for equipment repairs. Attention to detail, organizational proficiency, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment Capable of working in both indoor and outdoor settings, exposed to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, wind, rain, along with potential elements like dust, dirt, and noise. Work overtime as business needs arise. Pass background and drug screening.

Salary : $36-$42 / hour
Woods Machinery is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of the machinery brands we represent and support. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, extensive knowledge of heavy equipment diesel, hydraulic and electrical systems, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities :
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in all equipment supported by the company including but not limited to : Track Loaders, Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Chippers, Stump Grinders, Hydroseeders and Commercial Mowers.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
- Conduct thorough equipment inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and maintain detailed records.
- Consistently achieve and adhere to the allocated flat rate or estimated hours for each repair task.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
