The Role

Ready to define how AI transforms B2B payments?

As Principal AI Engineer at TreviPay, you’ll own the architecture and delivery of production-grade AI systems that power the intelligence layer of our payment and invoicing solutions.

You’ll design the next generation of agentic, data-driven products—embedding reasoning, retrieval, and prediction into every transaction. Your work will directly shape how global enterprises across manufacturing, retail, logistics, and financial services grow faster, get paid sooner, and operate smarter.

You’ll collaborate with world-class teams across data, product, and engineering—driving innovation from research to production and defining the AI blueprint for TreviPay’s future.

What You'll Do

Architect and Deliver AI at Scale — Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of production-grade AI systems that power TreviPay’s core payment intelligence and A / R automation platforms. You’ll own the technical strategy from data to model to product integration—ensuring AI becomes a core driver of growth and differentiation.

Shape the AI Vision and Technical Direction—Define the architectural standards, frameworks, and technology choices that guide how TreviPay builds, scales, and governs AI across the enterprise. Partner closely with product, data, and engineering leadership to align AI capabilities with business outcomes.

Advance Applied AI Innovation—Research, evaluate, and operationalize emerging technologies—from generative AI and agentic architectures to RAG pipelines and real-time ML systems—turning leading-edge concepts into reliable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

Drive Impact Through Data and Insight—Leverage TreviPay’s deep financial and transactional data to unlock predictive, prescriptive, and generative intelligence that informs smarter credit, risk, and revenue decisions across the business.

Elevate the AI Engineering Culture — Mentor and guide engineers across teams, fostering technical excellence, experimentation, and continuous learning. Establish standards for code quality, evaluation, observability, and responsible AI practices.

Operate with Ownership and Pragmatism—Balance bold innovation with disciplined execution—knowing when to experiment, when to scale, and when to optimize for reliability, cost, and compliance.

Who You are

Proven Track Record of Impact at Scale At Top-Tier Companies— You’ve led end-to-end delivery of production AI systems that moved key metrics—driving revenue, engagement, or efficiency. Your work turned AI from a capability into a clear competitive moat that defined category leadership.

Architect-Level Mastery of the Modern AI / ML Stack—10+ years building AI and ML systems using AWS AI / ML services (Bedrock, SageMaker, OpenSearch), RAG architectures, vector databases, and modern agent frameworks. You’ve architected everything from fine-tuned LLM pipelines to retrieval-augmented systems and production-grade MLOps infrastructure.

Battle-Tested in Real-World Conditions — You’ve shipped mission-critical AI systems at scale—optimizing for latency, accuracy, compliance, and cost. You understand that reliability, observability, and governance are as essential as innovation.

Technical Depth Meets Product Mindset— You connect system design with user and business outcomes. You know when to push the frontier and when to deliver—balancing innovation speed with pragmatic execution. You’ve shipped prototypes that evolved into durable, high-performing products.

Strategic and Cross-Functional Influence—You bridge the worlds of AI, product, and business. Equally comfortable in design reviews, roadmap discussions, or exec briefings—you translate technical complexity into strategic clarity and business results.
