About The Position

Position Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our diagnostic radiology team. In this role, you will assist interventional radiologists with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care and technical excellence throughout.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist physicians with interventional radiology procedures including angiography, balloon angioplasty, and stenting

Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment, including angiographic units and fluoroscopy systems

Administer contrast media and monitor patients for reactions or complications

Maintain sterile technique and ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff

Prepare patients for procedures and explain steps to ensure comfort and understanding

Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records

Maintain equipment calibration and cleanliness per hospital and safety protocols

Adhere to hospital guidelines, radiation safety practices, and infection prevention standards

Work flexible shifts, including weekends, as part of the full-time schedule

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications :

Experience :

Minimum of 1 year experience in interventional radiology, including angiographic equipment, balloon angioplasty, and stenting

Knowledge in CT imaging preferred

Education & Licensure :

Associate’s Degree from an accredited radiologic technology program

Valid New York State license as a Radiologic Technologist

ARRT certification in Interventional Radiography – Required

BLS and ACLS certifications – Preferred

Skills & Competencies :

Expertise in operating interventional radiology imaging systems

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and procedural documentation

Effective communication and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team

Commitment to patient care, comfort, and safety

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, clinical environment
