Field Service Engineer - Western

Full Time : Remote, salaried position with travel
Position Summary :
This is a full-time, salaried position for a Field Service Engineer who will provide maintenance, repairs, upgrades, installations, and training on analytical and metallographic instrumentation in our South-Central Region. Travel is required, with up to four overnights per week depending on workload. This position focuses on LECO’s customer base in Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico with travel to surrounding regions on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will reside near Denver, CO.
Position Responsibilities :
- Perform analytical instrumentation installations, and train on theory, operation, software, and good maintenance practices
- Perform preventive / general maintenance
- Perform breakdown / repair services
- Perform hardware / software updates and upgrade kit installations
- Maintain accurate inventory records, expense reports, and vehicle logs
- Attend instrumentation training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan for a period of 3-5 months
- Complete field service training by working alongside experienced Field Service Engineers throughout the country
- Attend annual service training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan
Position Requirements :
Reside within primary coverage area of the positionAbility to travel weekly with up to four overnight stays depending on workloadAbility to attend 3-5 months of training in St. Joseph, MIPossess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving recordAbility to crouch, stand, and lift without restrictionSelf-motivated, having the accountability to work remotely with limited supervisionStrong communication skills (both written and verbal)Detail oriented with strong organizational skillsPass a background check and substance abuse screeningsMust be authorized to work in the US without restrictionShould have a personal credit card, or the ability to obtain oneStrong mechanical skillsPrevious experience with AC and DC electronics, or the ability to learnChemistry background is advantageous, but not requiredEducation / Certifications :
One or more of the following :
Two Year Technical DegreeTrade SchoolPrior Military with Training in a Technical FieldEquivalent Work Experience or Training in a Technical FieldEOE M / F / VET / Disability
