About The Position

Must-Have :

• Epic EMR proficiency required and recent.
• Trauma level I / II recent hospital experience required.

Description :

Start Dates are not flexible.

100-mile radius rule applies.

No 48-hour guarantees.

No blocked scheduling requests.

No more than 5 days of requested time off.

Nurse patient ratios : Days 1 : 5-6, Nights 1 : 6.

Department consists of 90 double occupancy beds.

Common diagnoses include pneumonia, COPD, radiation patients, AKI, and occasional laparoscopic cholecystectomy and appendectomy.

RNs are required to titrate heparin and lasix gtt, which are non-titrated.

There is a Charge Nurse on each shift, who may take assignments if needed.

Patient care techs are available on this unit.

Equipment includes BiPAP and stable trach.

There is dedicated telemonitor tech support available.

Shifts run from 6 : 45 AM to 7 : 15 PM.

Weekend requirement is every other weekend.

Holiday requirement typically includes 2 out of 3 holidays.

Low census on-call may be required.

Floating requirements include MedSurg and stable low acuity in ICU and clinic.

Scrub color is navy blue.

Cancellation policy allows for client cancellation of hours equivalent to the weekly guaranteed hours for the assignment.

Charting system used is Epic.
