About the Company

Our client, a well-established engineering firm, is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in a Consulting Engineering or Design / Build environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge building environmental systems alongside a team of experienced engineers. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver with a strong technical background and a passion for designing innovative solutions. This role is on-site at the Sacramento office and will require regional, same-day travel to job sites throughout Northern California.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from design to construction.
  • Design heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing systems for building projects.
  • Ensure compliance with California Building Codes and industry best practices.
  • Perform building energy modeling and work with BMS controls.
  • Provide construction support, including site visits and design modifications as needed.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and cross-functional teams to develop effective solutions.
  • Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a consulting or design / build environment.
  • Expertise in HVAC, hydronics, plumbing, and construction support.
  • Proficiency in MEP design, Revit, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with building energy modeling and BMS controls.
  • Strong knowledge of California Building Codes.
  • PE certification
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Education Required

    Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
