Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Surgical Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 11 / 10 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Surgical Technologist – Ophthalmology (Days) Location : Norfolk, VA 23502 Shift : Monday–Friday | 5x8 Day Shifts (40 hours per week) | Start time : 6 : 30 AM or 7 : 00 AM Position Summary : We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our ophthalmology team in Norfolk, Virginia . The ideal candidate will bring strong cataract and general ophthalmology experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment. Responsibilities : Prepare and maintain sterile surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment. Assist surgeons during cataract and ophthalmology procedures . Ensure a sterile and safe environment in the operating room. Support patient care before, during, and after surgery under the direction of the surgical team. Adhere to all safety and infection control standards. Requirements : Active Virginia Surgical Technologist License (must have in hand) Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience Cataract experience required ; general ophthalmology experience preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with surgeons and nurses Excellent communication and time management skills “We are an equal opportunity employer.
