Schedule

Day 3x12-Hour (06 : 00 - 18 : 30), alternating days off, 1-2 call days per week with a 30-minute response required, every 3rd or 4th weekend, and holidays as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). Candidates must have open heart surgical experience and be skilled in scrub duties.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in various open heart surgeries, including Atrial Septal defect repair, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Mitral valve replacement, and TAVR.
  • Manage emergency situations effectively and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
  • Handle and administer blood and blood products while adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Conduct specimen handling and labeling accurately.
  • Implement the Universal Protocol during procedures, including timeout procedures.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience required.
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
  • Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
