Job Title : Material Handler

Location : Suring, WI

Schedule : Monday Friday, 7 : 00 AM 3 : 00 PM (may extend past 3 PM depending on truck schedules)

Pay : $20-21.00 hr

Job Summary :

The Material Handler is responsible for preparing products for shipment, maintaining workflow in the assigned area, and loading / unloading trailers. This role requires operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, maintaining a clean and organized dock, and collaborating with the Shipping Clerk to ensure timely and accurate shipments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Safely operate material transporting equipment (hand truck, forklift)
  • Maintain equipment and complete daily checklists
  • Crate products for shipment as needed
  • Coordinate with carriers and Shipping Clerk for outbound / inbound freight
  • Load wrapped products into trailers and unload incoming shipments
  • Report discrepancies in Bills of Lading or receivers
  • Follow production schedules and report progress
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Collaborate with assembly for product flow
  • Cross-train and assist with other tasks as assigned

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 12 years of woodworking experience preferred
  • Forklift experience ideal (training provided)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cold conditions
  • Intermediate math skills (fractions, decimals, conversions)
  • Tape measure proficiency
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Professional demeanor and team-oriented mindset
  • Good safety record and stress tolerance
