About the Position :
This position is located at Naval Health Clinic Lemoore. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.
Duties
Develops, implements, interprets and tailors directives, regulations, policies and guidelines that address the protection of classified information to meet the requirements of the Command.
Identify automation security problems and requirements through studies, analysis, and research.
Maintain current IS accreditation statements and initiates re-accreditation when security-impacting changes have occurred.
Maintain Life Cycle Management (LCM) for the Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) documentation.
Serves as primary technical specialist for information system security.
Evaluate the security impact of system changes including interfaces with other systems.
Serves as the Information Assurance Manager, responsible for protecting data.
Provides leadership and direction to network environment personnel by ensuring that IA security awareness, basics, literacy, and training are provided to operations personnel commensurate with their responsibilities.
Reports the compliance to higher authority for tracking and maintains a local database for the command information. In cases where the command is unable to meet deadlines responsible for submission of mitigation Plan of Action and Milestones.
Performs all other current and future tasks and responsibilities of 722 Information Systems Security Manager personnel.
Actively coordinates and participates in risk assessments and the management and contingency planning for all assigned computer systems, and materials.
Requirements
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
Moderate to heavy lifting up to 40 pounds is required.
A pre-placement medical examination is required.Required to be screened for and obtain necessary immunizations / vaccinations (hepatitis, influenza, etc.), unless exempted by a licensed physician.
Must be able to obtain and maintain IAT Level II certification by completing one of the commercial certifications as outlined in DODM 8140.03 within six (6) months of employment.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Must be able to obtain and maintain qualification by completing requirements as outlined in DODM 8140.03 within six (6) months of employment.
This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
Must obtain and maintain a valid Certificated Information Security Manager (CISM), a GIAC Security Leadership Certificate (GSLC), or a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification within 12 months of employment.
