Job Summary :
The Master Maintenance Technician in a healthcare environment is a highly skilled professional responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing critical building systems and medical support infrastructure to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role provides technical leadership to the maintenance team, mentors junior technicians, and serves as a subject matter expert on a wide range of facility systems. Responsibilities also include overseeing preventative maintenance programs, managing work through CMMS software, and supporting hospital operations with prompt, quality service. This is a first shift 7am to 3 : 30pm M-F schedule.

Key Responsibilities :
Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on hospital equipment and infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical gas systems, and emergency power.
Lead day-to-day operations of the maintenance team; provide training, guidance, and support to junior technicians, and ensure high standards of workmanship and safety.
Design, implement, and oversee preventative maintenance schedules that ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and equipment reliability.
Maintain a safe working environment by following OSHA, NFPA, and Joint Commission standards; participate in safety audits and emergency preparedness drills.
Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, asset tracking, and inventory control.
Identify and resolve complex building system issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuity of hospital services.
Keep detailed records of inspections, repairs, and equipment performance; assist in reporting for regulatory inspections and audits.
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of facility operations by identifying cost-saving initiatives, energy efficiency opportunities, and workflow enhancements.
Support or lead facility upgrade and maintenance projects, coordinating with contractors and hospital departments to minimize disruption to patient care.
