Position Summary

The Post Event Sweeper position is a hands-on position responsible for the oversight, cleanliness, and safety of a designated area during an event at the PPG Paints Arena in accordance with established guidelines and procedures under the direction of the Lead Janitor and Operations Manager.

Will be required to join the union, upon invitation, following 90-day probationary period

This role will pay an hourly wage of $16.89 (per CBA).

Benefits as per the union agreement.

This position will remain open until October 10, 2025.

About the Venue

As a leading entertainment venue, PPG Paints Arena is the regional epicenter for athletic events, concerts, and family shows in Western Pennsylvania, and home to the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins.

Responsibilities

• Maintain neatness and sanitation in assigned areas at all times.
• Clean and sanitize assigned work areas that include seating areas, floors, restrooms, etc., using mechanical and / or manual equipment following proper sanitization protocols.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles in assigned areas and wheel full hampers to compactor.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and paper products and notify supervisor of needed items at the end of a shift.
• Maintain neatness and cleanliness of custodial storage areas and equipment.
• Follow safety rules and regulations.
• Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions to supervisor immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Janitor and Operations Manager.
• Occasionally work as casual utility assisting in the set-up of events.
• Be knowledgeable about locations throughout the facility.
• Be respectful, courteous, and helpful to all guests and fellow employees.
