JOB OVERVIEW

Receiving inspectors inspect incoming and outgoing items for quality and accuracy. Receiving inspectors monitor and inspect all incoming deliveries to ensure the quality of items and order accuracy. This includes opening boxes and personally counting and viewing all items.

Shift schedule : 2 : 30pm-11 : 00pm

Responsibilities :

  • Inspects purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices : Examines items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit.
  • Receiving inspectors note inaccurate or unacceptable orders received in the inventory system and refuse to accept these items.
  • Enter items received into the inventory system.
  • Write regular inventory reports to note all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Inspect all outgoing shipments to ensure proper packaging, address information, and item accuracy before shipments are made.
  • Data entry of incoming units into Quantum.
  • Report, update, transact, and provide information that facilitates the general repair process.
  • Handle any additional tasks as requested.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of Quantum
  • Basic math skills
  • Good eye for detail to spot inaccuracies and poor quality in all incoming and outgoing shipment items.
  • Self-directed, motivated with limited supervision, solid decision making, and analytical skills.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Job Demands :

    Work is performed in a Shop environment and requires the ability to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; to lift up to 50lbs. regularly; to manipulate up to 100lbs. with assistance. Must be able to bend, stoop, climb to reach materials, and work in a noisy environment.
