- On-Call : 1-2 nights per week and every third weekend\n

- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Oregon\n
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP)\n
- Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care or orthopedic surgery settings\n
- Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges\n
- NPDB Self-query (required at time of submission)\n
- CAQH login and password (required at time of offer)\n
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EPIC experience preferred)\n
- Ability to work independently and effectively in high-pressure or emergent clinical situations\n
- Completion of 4 hours of unpaid EPIC training (testing out is an option – 2 hours)\n\nPrimary Responsibilities – Acute Care Orthopedic NP\n
- Collaborate with attending physicians to prepare and record patient histories, develop and implement care plans, and participate in daily rounds\n
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies (EMG, EKG, x-rays, CT, MRI, bone scans)\n
- Perform procedures such as digital blocks, regional anesthesia, wound management, tendon repair, incision and drainage, needle biopsy, and hardware removal\n
- Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including joint and bursa aspirations, closed reduction of fractures / dislocations, and brace / cast / splint applications\n
- Assist in orthopedic surgery (first assist, tissue closures, application of appliances, and delegated actions)\n
- Serve as primary orthopedic call for hospital patients in the Emergency Department and inpatient units, including participation in call coverage (weekday, weekend, 24-hour, and holiday as needed)\n
- Evaluate and clarify clinical conditions, implement treatment plans, and dictate discharge summaries, histories, and physicals\n
