We are seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Pediatric Hospitalist to join a dynamic inpatient care team on a locum tenens basis. This exciting opportunity offers a flexible schedule and the chance to work with an established team at a hospital in beautiful southern West Virginia.

  • Coverage Type : Inpatient Pediatrics and Newborn Nursery (Call Only)
  • Patients Per Shift : 110
  • Shifts : 7 AM start, 7 AM end
  • Call Response Time : 30 minutes

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Rounding on both pediatric inpatients and newborns.
  • Managing ventilation for neonates and pediatric patients (acute and chronic).
  • Performing various procedures including intubation, lumbar punctures, central lines, UVC, UAC, chest tube insertions, and more.
  • Handling conscious and deep sedation for pediatric cases.
  • Interpreting X-rays, EKGs, and conducting exchange transfusions when needed.

  • Trauma Level : III
  • Pediatrics Level : I
  • 12-bed Pediatric wing with sub-specialty support available.
  • Established blocked scheduling for efficient coverage.

    • Requirements

  • License : Active WV medical license or eligibility via IMLC.
  • Certifications :

    • BLS

  • PALS
  • NRP
  • Credentialing Timeline : 60 days (faster for clean histories).
