Job Title : Workstation Upgrade Technician
Overview :
Our Client is undertaking a large-scale project to upgrade its workstation fleet from Windows 10 to Windows 11. With approximately 5,000 desktops and laptops requiring upgrades, this role will be critical in ensuring a smooth transition across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Upgrade and reimage workstations from Windows 10 to Windows 11 using PXE boot deployment via BigFix OS Deployment.
- Install necessary drivers, applications, and configurations to match users previous setups.
- Physically replace older hardware with new equipment as needed.
- Assist end users with basic computer usage questions, including MS Office, installing printers, and navigating applications.
- Swap out and configure computer hardware and peripherals.
- Perform software and driver installations as required.
- Travel between locations to support upgrade initiatives, primarily at Memorial Hospital (South Bend) and Elkhart General Hospital (Elkhart), with occasional visits to offsite clinics.
- Follow internal processes and best practices as outlined in provided training.
