About the Role
The Facilities and Logistics Associate is the first point of contact at the Labs shop and plays a key role in daily operations. This position involves managing shipping and receiving , maintaining shop organization, coordinating facilities operations , and ensuring that engineers and designers have the resources they need to innovate effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage shipping and receiving , including greeting delivery personnel, signing for packages, and routing shipments to the correct recipients.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace , including entryways and common shop areas.
- Ensure logical and safe storage of tools, parts, and materials to support efficient workflow.
- Coordinate inter-office shipments between Labs and other company locations.
- Support facilities operations , including assembling furniture, managing vendor visits, and disposing of hazardous materials safely (batteries, solvents, etc.).
- Serve as the main point of contact with the facilities management team to resolve maintenance and operational issues.
- Assist the Concept Engineering team with ad-hoc operational projects to keep the workspace productive and functional.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in shipping / receiving or facilities operations .Familiarity with handling and disposal of hazardous materials (batteries, chemicals, etc.).Hands-on skills in light assembly, organization, and maintenance .Experience working with facilities management or operations teams .Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel between San Francisco and other Bay Area offices.
