A leading integrated healthcare provider and insurance company is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in Bethel Park, PA, a vibrant suburb of Pittsburgh.

Pay rate : Up to $20 per hour, as a new hire

Promotional Pay Increases : In addition to your base salary, you have the potential to significantly increase your future earnings. The company offers performance-based raises and pathways for higher pay through continuous learning and education, with the potential to reach up to $55,000 annually in this role, over time.

Work Schedule : Daylight weekly rotating shifts : 6 : 30 am to 3 : 00 pm; 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm; 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm; 8 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm; 9 : 00 am to 5 : 30 pm

Travel : Occasional travel to other local offices for staff coverage is required (Brownsville Road, Greentree, Pleasant Hills)

Job Summary

As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care within our healthcare system. In this position, you will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to assist healthcare providers and ensure the smooth operation of our medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine clinical procedures, such as taking vital signs, administering injections, phlebotomy, EKGs, level one labs and collecting specimens
  • Assist healthcare providers with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in the Electronic Health Record
  • Send / receive patient medical records in accordance with Health Insurance. Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other state and federal regulations
  • Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health)
  • Coordinate patient scheduling and manage front office operations
  • Verify insurance coverage and patient demographics
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients and their families
  • Comply with all relevant healthcare regulations, policies, and safety protocols

Minimum Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program, required
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a medical office or clinic environment
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel between local offices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and basic medical terminology
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Working Conditions
