job_description.job_card.job_descriptionJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Admission to the Ohio Bar in good standing 3+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense or related litigation Strong understanding of Ohio workers' compensation laws and administrative procedures Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently Strong communication skills and a client-service mindset Experience with hearings before the Industrial Commission of Ohio preferred Represent employers and insurers in workers' compensation hearings, appeals, and related proceedings Handle all aspects of case management, including investigation, discovery, and litigation strategy Draft and file pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony Advise clients on risk management, claims strategy, and compliance with workers' compensation laws Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and medical professionals Collaborate with other attorneys within the firm's labor and employment group to provide comprehensive client service For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa. - Competitive base salary range of $110,000 - $150,000 , commensurate with experience
