Responsibilities
This position is accountable for providing exceptional customer service regarding transportation, mobility options, and parking regulations on campus using infield education, compliance methods, data collection, and reporting tools. Responsibilities include :
- Ensure the safe operation of a department vehicle with license plate recognition (LPR) equipment and monitor campus parking in alignment with traffic regulations.
- Operate and understand industry-specific hardware and software programs; interpret, interact with, and validate data across multiple technology systems to regulate and educate on university parking regulations.
- Identify and report public safety concerns from infield observations; collaborate with the front office and maintenance teams to provide exceptional service.
- Apply knowledge of front office procedures and active transportation programs to identify customer needs and offer appropriate options.
- Collect, validate, and compile data supporting technical research, automation, and business decisions related to lot utilization.
- Proficiently use mobile and fixed hardware to perform daily activities.
Note : This position is an evening shift : Monday–Friday 11 : 00am–8 : 00pm (Fall and Spring Semesters). Breaks and schedule may vary by business needs.
Qualifications
Required Job Qualifications
Two years of experience in general data entry.Two years of experience in client-facing customer service.High School Diploma or GED.Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one by the start date.Preferred Job Qualifications
Experience working on multiple technology platforms (cell phone, laptop, desktop, tablet).Safe driving training / certifications.Critical thinking and analytical skills; attention to detail.Essential Duties
Duty Categories
Equipment Operation : Safe operation of a department vehicle with daily inspections of equipment; use of license plate recognition software to monitor campus and identify safety concerns.Learn and understand software configurations to ensure performance and identify maintenance needs.Issue contravention notices and warnings through interactive software for non-compliant individuals.Identify and address misreads from camera capture areas; perform manual entries as needed.Stay current on state and federal regulations related to license plates and software configuration impact.Proficient use of software and hardware including mobile devices to fulfill daily regulatory compliance activities.Maintain high safety standards during routine vehicle stops across diverse campus environments.Comply with traffic regulations while managing onboard equipment.Information Processing :
Interpret data from software integrations; track and update customer account records in system daily as needed.Utilize Genetec and T2 software to analyze trends in monitoring performance and compliance.Use reporting to facilitate team collaboration and continuous improvement; comply with security and privacy regulations.Review customer accounts, vehicles, permits, and activities in T2 software.Customer Education / Resource Provider :
Distribute educational materials regarding parking regulations and payment options.Assist campus community with wayfinding and transportation resources; educate customers to promote compliance.Provide professional communication to explain regulations and answer questions to encourage long-term compliance.Support front office processes and update notes in customer accounts; identify outreach opportunities.Resolve customer concerns through effective communication and de-escalation.Miscellaneous :
Monitor trends and identify opportunities for improved service; implement department monitoring strategy.Support training and onboarding of new employees; maintain records and inventory; suggest data collection improvements.Hours may vary by business needs; perform other tasks as assigned.Application Details
