COMMERCIAL FURNITURE DESIGNER / SPECIFIER

POSITION SUMMARY :

Lane Office is a leading New York based office furniture dealer established in 1922 that creates inspiring, sustainable, luxury work environments that creatively suit our clients’ needs. We provide best in class service to our clients and business partners while promoting honesty, trust and inclusion in all aspects of our business. We are currently seeking a Commercial Furniture Designer / Specifier. The successful candidate will join our growing and dynamic team and be part of a collaborative culture.  In this skilled role, the candidate will work directly with Account Executives, Project Managers, Interior Designers / Architects and clients along with a multitude of contract furniture manufacturers.

To be considered for this position, you should have minimum 3 years relevant experience and a strong understanding of standard industry software (AutoCAD, CAP 2020 and CET). We seek a highly motivated and confident individual with a strong desire to take ownership of their work and work in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS :

• Expertise in Industry Software (AutoCAD, CET, DWG, CAP2020).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of industry codes and contract furniture product, including systems (MillerKnoll preferred).
• Ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Commitment to excellence, accuracy in work and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Associate's / Bachelor’s Degree.
• 3+ years relevant experience preferred.
