The job of Material Planner II is to ensure that parts are brought into the plant at a rate to keep the production lines running while meeting all operational KPIs.

Responsibilities / Authority :

• Ensure all required parts for production are ordered timely and accurately to meet customer demand.
• Monitor lead times and planner codes.
• Generate reports using Access and or Excel, including : MRP, MISL, COM, PUR, & IM.
• Keep interplant orders (X-orders) and vendor releases current and up to date.
• Communicate with freight companies on inbound and outbound shipments.
• Collaborate with the appropriate departments in a timely manner when parts become hot.
• Manage inventory levels to accommodate the days of supply required for production.
• Analyzing and dispositioning slow moving and no demand items.
• Become cross-trained to ensure coverage throughout the departments.
• Perform other related departmental tasks assigned by the Manager or Group Leader
