Job Overview

A highly regarded international law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of experience in intellectual property litigation, particularly involving patent and trade secret matters in the hard technology space. This position offers a dynamic environment with opportunities for significant client exposure, meaningful responsibility, and involvement in high-profile cases at the forefront of innovation.

Location

Duties

  • Litigate complex patent and trade secret cases in federal courts
  • Draft legal pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other litigation documents
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to IP disputes
  • Participate in discovery, including depositions and working with experts
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop litigation strategies
  • Prepare for and support trial, arbitration, or mediation proceedings
  • Mentor junior associates and contribute to knowledge sharing

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in IP litigation, including significant patent or trade secret casework
  • Experience working on litigation matters involving hardware, software, or similar technologies
  • Ability to manage assignments independently and work collaboratively in a team
  • Admitted to the bar in the state corresponding to the office location or eligible for admission

    • Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with strong academic performance
  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields (required) :
  • Computer Science
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mathematics
  • Physics

    • Certifications

    Active and good standing membership in a U.S. state bar (or ability to obtain admission in a relevant jurisdiction)

  • Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to understand complex technical issues
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities
  • Proven leadership and initiative within a litigation team
  • Comfortable interacting with expert witnesses, technical consultants, and clients
